    Position Summary

    JOB SUMMARY:  . The marketing producer’s core responsibility is to drive the station’s brand engagement both on television and digital platforms .  The marketing producer will interact with news department to develop and produce topical promotion for newscasts. The producer will also be responsible for image, special assignments, PSA’s and other projects as requested.  The marketing producer needs to be skilled at  writing, editing, shooting, and conducting creative meetings as needed to accomplish assigned tasks. Producer also needs to be familiar with marketing tactics on digital and social media platforms.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Principal Duties & Responsibilities: 

    • Must be a self-starter and self-directed with the ability to cocepualize and execute projects while adhearing to the station branding and markeing philosphy.
    • Write, produce, shoot and edit material into attention-grabbing spots that appeals to target audiences.
    • Must be able to both collaborate with others and work independently as projects require.
    • Develop daily news topicals, TSRs, PSAs, and presentations, as well as assisting with promotional scheduling, station and community events as assigned.
    • Producer will be involved in all aspects of creating promotion including writing, editing, lighting and shooting.
    • Familiarity with marketing tactics and execution on social media platforms.
    • Interact with multiple individuals and departments on a consistent basis.
    • Producer needs to be dependable, flexible, work well under pressure.
    • Producer must be able to work effectively under multiple deadlines.
    • Producer must be able to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies as they become available and maintain the software and equipment.
    • Engage in training opportunities as necessary to stay current with the required skill set of the position.
    • Some weekend and off hours work will be required as assigned by manager.

    Specialized Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

    • Detail oriented; proficient in non-linear editing. This includes experience in Adobe Creative Suite, ENPS newsroom platform.
    • Lifting and transporting of camera equipment will be a requirement of this position which may include lifting up to 50lbs. 
    • Must have valid drivers license.
    • Excellent verbal, written, grammar and analytical skills.
    • Strong news judgment, journalistic integrity and understanding of viewer needs and expectations. Also acute understanding of journalistic ethics is reguired.
    • Knowledge of social media and social media administration.
    • Ability to meet quality standards for service & evaluate customer satisfaction. 


    Education/Experience:  Bachelors Degree in Communications, TV/film or equivalent experience. 1 to 3 years television experience preferred.


    Training/EquipmentUtilize state-of-the-art television technology including Adobe Creative suite. Must also be able to use DSLR and other digital cameras. Have an understanding of basic 3 point lighting.


    Work Environment/Physical Requirements:  ability to work in high pressure  environment with multiple deadlines. Some travel may be required on an occasional basis.
