    Position Summary

    White Knight Broadcasting is seeking a Programming Director / Station Manager.  The Station Manager will be responsible for programming content, delivery, format and schedule and will assure compliance with FCC rules, regulations and policies.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Maintain relationship with television networks.
      • Preempt notices and make-goods
      • Affiliate specials
    • Complete television network Weekly affidavit.
    • Schedule local weekend programming
    • Compile weekly Advance Program Schedules
      • Include syndicated episodic information and local program descriptions
      • Send 13 weeks in advance to traffic hub
      • Send 4 weeks in advance to listing services
      • Send revisions as they are made
    • Weekly, Update 13-week grid in-house programming grid.
    • Daily, Review Interruption reports (Hub and News) & address programming issues.
    • Daily fill out & return Rentrak
    • Quarterly, provide paid avails to sales assistant.
    • Quarterly, update sales programming one-sheet grids.
      • More often for major programming changes.
    • Maintain Public File
    • FCC Quarterly Reports
      • Children’s Commercial Limits Certificates
      • FCC – 398 Children’s Report
      • Programs & Issues report
    • Coordinate production and traffic to update Public File on air announcements regarding children’s programming changes and reporting
    • Manage syndicated programming
      • Meet with syndicators.
      • Notify of preemptions and rescheduled make-goods.
      • Provide formats and satellite feed information to traffic and master control hubs.
    • Check daily CC email daily and address accordingly.
    • Track and schedule all movies, regional sports and specials.
      • Associated preemptions, make-goods and recordings
    • Compile sports schedules and distribute to sales, traffic, master control hub and production.
      • Network sports
      • Send weekly email with game assignments to master control hub
    • Notify hub of every non-regularly scheduled feed (1-2 weeks in advance of event).
      • Provide satellite/pitch information
      • Movies, network make-good, specials, sporting events
    • Provide hub with op guidelines for every sporting or live programming event for overrun or tech failure
      • Include feed information, format and procedures for event provider.
    • Coordinate with production and traffic to create / air ID to inform public of core children’s programming make-goods per FCC guidelines.
    • Update White Knight syndicated programming spread sheet.
      • Maintain list of active programming contracts.
      • Upload new programming agreements to Contraxx database
    • Handle viewer phone calls and emails.
    • New season programming changes: Work with corporate on Fall Schedules.
      • Syndicated start date grids to traffic & master control hub
      • Complete surveys and time-period requests for network and syndicated programming.
      • For each syndicated show, provide updated format and satellite pitch.
      • Information to traffic and master control hubs. Promo information to CSD.
    • Work with sales and traffic hub to coordinate and schedule Mission Broadcasting public service initiative for 1st and 3rd
    • Ensure stations are compliant with all FCC Guidelines
