    Position Summary

    WPRI Media is looking for an expert in the automotive industry.  We are looking for someone with an extensive knowledge of Tier-3 dealership operations, marketing and sales.  This position will be the station’s point person for all automotive Tier 3 sales programs.  You will be responsible for training and coaching our staff on our entire product suite and positioning it with Tier 3 auto clients.  In addition, you will be responsible for developing and implementing programs designed to maximize Tier 3 spending. We are looking for someone who is creative, persistent and a closer.  If you’re a star in the automotive industry, we want you for this opportunity.  

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

     

    Specific Duties:

     

    • Increase dealer penetration for both broadcast and digital properties
    • Improve average deal size and grow total dealer spending within the market
    • Work with local sales executives and managers to develop consistent sales strategy and overall plan to increase revenue at each dealer group
    • Develop deep relationships at all levels of Tier 3 automotive space
    • Create and implement business plan to exceed revenue expectations on Tier 3 business
    • Work as a coach on targeted sales calls with key decision makers at various dealer groups to achieve budgeted goals
    • Conduct trainings for sales organization on auto trends and sales opportunities
    • Perform other related duties as assigned

     

    Desired Skills/Experience:

     

    • Excellent reputation for building customer relationships
    • Complete understanding of automotive business including customer targeting, sales strategy, operations and marketing
    • Documented experience and success working directly with auto dealers to enhance their business’s success
    • Proven experience developing, coaching and managing both a team and sales process
    • Ability to multitask across various strategic initiatives

     

    Qualifications:

     

    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • 3-5 years experience in the auto industry (ideally dealership operations)
    • Prefer background in Broadcast or Digital Media Sales
    • Knowledge of office software and CRM tools
    • Excellent communication, presentation, planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills
    • Previous sales management experience
