    Position Summary

    The Main Anchor  serves as the primary presenter of news stories and other content for all platforms in a manner that is clear, engaging and meaningful to news consumers.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    WTEN the ABC affiliate in Albany, New York has an opening for a Main Anchor. We are looking for a dynamic presenter who will get our message into our communities. We are an aggressive newsroom and the applicant must be able to react quickly to breaking news and remain calm in stressful situations. It is preferred the applicant has experience as an anchor in the broadcast industry for 5 years and a proven track record for telling compelling and singular stories. The applicant must have strong writing and presenting skills and a proven track record for excellent news judgment. The candidate must also be involved in the management and structure of social media and the station's website. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a very competitive environment.
