    Position Summary

    KETK/KFXK, the NBC and Fox affiliates in East Texas, seek a social-savvy journalist and strategist to lead our audience development efforts. In this role, you will collaborate with other members of our news team (on-air and behind-the-scenes) to produce and share great digital content, increase engagement and develop tactics and strategies to grow audience on all platforms.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Find and/or generate content that will resonate with our existing digital audience and develop new audience members
    • Work closely with on-air talent to broaden their social fan base by better leveraging the content they and their colleagues generate, along with personal and personality-driven messaging
    • Oversee all interaction with digital audience, especially social media platforms
    • Interact with other departments to maximize station-wide opportunities: marketing and sharing content, promoting digital and broadcast platforms, developing branded or sponsored content
    • Develop and execute social strategy and best-practices through analysis of metrics/data
    • Identify new, innovative and distinctive ways to use our digital platforms to differentiate KETK/KFXK from other media organizations in our coverage area 
    •  Performs other duties as assigned.
