    Position Summary


    We are looking for the right person to help grow our daily lifestyle program. If you bring fresh ideas and the drive to execute them, we want to talk. You’ll be part show producer and part digital content creator, working with our executive producer to bring great segments to life.  Responsibilities will include developing compelling content, booth producing, booking and guiding guests through the appearance process.  Successful candidate should have experience in producing, writing, editing and an understanding of self-promotion in broadcast, digital and social media.  Reporting and shooting skills also preferred, but not required. 

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Assists in writing and production of broadcast or on-line publication
    • Contributes to the editorial process and make solid decisions in breaking news situations
    • Execute strategies that engage and grow audiences across all digital devices
    • Writes, produces and edits material that appeals to target audiences
    • Research production topics using the internet, video archives, and other information sources

      Requirements & Skills:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, TV/film or equivalent experience may substitute
    • Understand brand building directives
    • Interact well with video journalists, anchors, videographers, news managers, production, digital and engineering staff
    • Detail oriented
    • Excellent verbal, written, grammar and analytical skills
    • Ability to develop strong news judgment
    • Possess journalistic integrity and understanding of viewer needs and expectations
    • Knowledge of media production, communication and dissemination techniques and methods, including alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media
    • Ability to meet quality standards for service & evaluate customer satisfaction


    Physical Demands & Work Environment:
    The Associate Producer must be able to sit, conduct telephone conversations, use electronic mail, write letters and memos, conduct face-to-face discussions with individuals or groups, make decisions without supervision, make decisions that impact the results of co-workers, work in close proximity to others, work outdoors in all weather conditions, and work indoors in environmentally controlled conditions.  In addition, the Associate Producer must be able to lift, set up and operate equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
