    Position Summary

    The WRIC National/Regional Sales Manager is responsible for leading the day to day operations of the National/Regional Sales department, including development of new business and achievement of revenue goals.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Primary point of contact with the station's contracted national sales representatives
    • Responsible for cultivating and negotiating all National/Regional sales efforts for the station
    • Develops and executes sales strategies which result in exceeding revenue targets in local, national, eMedia and new product revenue 
    • Drives new business development
    • Manages inventory and revenue forecasting
    • Develop local key decision-maker contacts for National/Regional accounts while seeking growth through leveraging sponsorship and or station co-promotion opportunities
    • Work closely with DOS on pricing inventory, inventory analysis, and managing accounts to attain maximum revenue potential
    • Handle political revenue and maintain station compliance during political season
    • Manages Accounts Receivable
    • Performs other duties as assigned

     Requirements & Skills:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising or Mass Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
    • Fluency in English
    • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
    • Minimum five years’ experience in television sales
    • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
    • Demonstrated track record of sales success
    • Experience establishing long-range objectives and specifying the strategies and actions to achieve them
    • Wide Orbit Traffic and Matrix experience a plus
    • Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment

    Physical Demands & Work Environment:


    The National/Regional Sales Manager must be able to stand, sit, reach, climb, conduct telephone conversations, use electronic mail, write letters and memos, conduct face-to-face discussions with individuals or groups, make decisions without supervision, make decisions that impact the results of co-workers. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
