WLNS-TV, the CBS affiliate in Lansing, Michigan, seeks a Digital Content Producer to help us execute our digital plan. This includes showcasing news, weather and sports content on our website and livestream. Ownership of the “rundown” of stories on the site and the elements in those stories is a major part of the job. This person will also work with other journalists at the station to develop content including unique video clips, photo galleries, data graphs, text stories, regional content, national content of interest and other tasks as assigned. We’re also looking for someone to provide input and help us plan for the future as this job evolves.
A degree in journalism or related field is preferred. So are strong writing, web and digital skills, and the ability to work well with others.
The greater Lansing area is home to the state capital, Michigan State University, and two General Motors plants. Because of that, we've got plenty of news, sports, arts, and culture. Mid-Michigan is a great place to live.
